Believe it or not, but I did finish the first block of the Butterfly Garden BOM by Leanne Beasley . This is the proof 😉
OK – the block is unpressed so it looks xtremely wonky ;-p  and the colors look a bit strange due to the lightning – it was raining heavily outside and the sky was dark. And this is the first time I’ve done appliques and embroidery this way so they are not totally straight and even, but for a beginner I think I’ve done well. Who knows, when I get to block No9 I might even get the backstitches exactly the same. Have you heard anything so stupid – the woman have problems to get the most simple stitch even….sigh. can you imagine how it will be when I have to do letters??? May g have mercy on us all ROFLMAO.
Well to brighten up things, I needed something to store the Cosmos Embroidery flosses in and checked out my nice little collection of tins (mostly gifted to me by my dear Botanical Perfumery friend L in SF) and found this:
It’s a Thunderbird!!! 🙂 Have you ever seen anything so delightful? I just love it to bits. And it fulfill it’s function too:
Lastly – as promised a pic of my latest purchase from Fat Quarter SHop:
It’s Me and My Sister’s Designer Select FQ bundle and while folding it, I got all happy – the colors are very un-me, but I just loooooove them. I mean – what’s not to like – huh???
Otherwise I started a vanilla tincture that will be the base for my oldest Sam’s upcoming signature ‘fume. He came up to me the other day and went “Mom, isn’t it time you get back t creating perfumes again?” It turned out that he want me to create his very own signature ‘fume. That guy just love the scent of vanilla and if it was up to him, it would be all vanilla . If it turns out good, he plans to market it and take all the fame <G>Fine with me……can you imagine a better babe magnet? ;-9
